The 2010 Tin Cup was played on Saturday, June 19. A total of 22 teams dueled in the sun. Amid high temperatures and virtually no wind, all 44 participants played tirelessly in pursuit of the mighty Tin Cup. The MGA prevailed with a resounding win. A number of the matches went right to the end. Special recognition goes to Joni Loock and Sandy Hallberg as the only LGA team that went all the way to a win. Congratulations also go to Laurie Strite, Ed Hensen, Jane Bamping and Bob Boosveld for winning “closest to the pin” on the four par 3’s.
We began with a continental breakfast that included Day Light Donut products, coffee and juice and following play an excellent cold cut buffet was provided by Terri and her staff. No one left hungry. Our Saturday “Tammy the cart lady” did a magnificent job of getting around the course with refreshments and plenty of ice. Carolyn Blue and Larry Morgan emceed a short program after lunch and awards were made for the novelty prize winners.
Peter Gingras took many great photographs around the course and in the clubhouse. Tony Westervelt did a super job as tournament administrator. He is still probably seeing dots after doting all of the scorecards. Special thanks go to all of the Tin Cup participants, you are the ones that made this tournament special
