GLENLAKES GOLF CLUB Tim Cahill reported that the 1st aerification went well, it just took to long to heal. A second one was schedule for the end of June, but is being pushed back till after the 4th of July weekend. He also reported on some of the capitol improvement going on at the club currently and some of the pump problems they have had.

Tony Westervelt reminded everyone of the year-round membership drive contest. At the end of the year, whoever has signed up the most members will get the following year’s dues free. He said that Richard Senes, Bob Smith, and Tom Blake were tied for the lead with 3 new member referrals each.

MAJOR TOURNAMENT DATES FOR 2011 Larry announced the dates for 2011. President cup-April 1st thru the 3rd   Member/Guest-June 24th thru 26th, Championship-Sept. 24th and 25th , Member/Member Nov. 12th and 13th .

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE Bob Boosveld stated that we have had 2 tournaments this year and both were down by about a third over 2009. Some of the reasons were thought to be the dates (master’s weekend and mother’s day) and that they were less than a month apart.

Bob went over some of the things the board is considering for the future and asked for input from the members for ideas to make them better. If you have any ideas please give them to a board member.

50/50 DRAWING The winning ticket was worth $81.00 and Tom Blake was the winner.

GAME FOR TODAY Ron Johnsen stated we’re playing team score of best 2 on the even holes and best 3 on the odd.
