Courtney Mahon

Glenlakes Welcomes Professional Courtney Mahon

Courtney, 26 years old, was born in Rapid City, South Dakota and raised in the Midwest.  She attended high school in Topeka, Kansas at Washburn Rural, where she competed on their golf, soccer, and basketball teams. Courtney’s hard work and dedication to the game of golf landed her at the University of Arkansas on a golf scholarship.   While at the University of Arkansas, the team improved their ranking from being unranked to top 5 in the nation!   Mahon also won two collegiate tournaments and helped the team compete in two NCAA National Championships.  This coming year will be Courtney’s third year on the Duramed Futures Tour.

With her dad being a PGA Professional for over 30 years, she is very educated in many areas of the golf game.  Courtney’s second passion is teaching and educating people on the great game of golf.  She is excited to spend her off-season here at GlenLakes as their Teaching Professional.

Best wishes for Courtney Mahon’s professional career!

Hi Courtney,

I haven't heard much from my fellow golfing ladies about your status. Hope you are well and playing lots of golf.    Did you get on the tour?   Were you at the course in Kentucky?   Due to so much going on here with the oil crisis and my family visiting we have been unable to make it to our place on Lake Cumberland, but we didn't need to be there for you to stay at our place.  The guard at the gate has a key to all our units and I could have called him to give you the key.  You are welcome to stay there whenever you are in that vicinity.  We are trying to make plans to go sometime  in August, but now have the hurricane issue.  We may end up evacuating if a hurricane hits.

Everyone is looking forward to your return visit to Glenlakes.  I think you will have lots of business.  Stay cool and let me hear from you.

Pat,

Thank you for your e-mail!  I am out playing in a tournament in Syracuse, NY on the Futures Tour.  I have been playing on and off throughout the year.  I did end up getting into the Kentucky tournament, but it was at the last minute.  I had housing right on the golf course...it was great.  I also made the cut that week, so it was a really great week!

How are things at GlenLakes?  How are you playing?  I hope it's not too hot down there.

Have a great weekend,

Courtney
